Yorkshire Wedding Singer and

Wedding Singer & Harpist

Ruby Paul is a classically singer and harp player based in the North of England. She performs throughout the UK for both concerts and private functions and was recently featured on BBC Look North.

Ruby also performs about 70 private engagements each year, many at top hotels in the North and Midlands of the UK. She has often appeared at larger venues such as Birmingham ICC , where she recently supported the Opera Babes. Her beautiful voice, compared to Norah Jones and Adele, will enthrall in church, transform a civil ceremony, or entertain guests at the wedding breakfast.

Since graduating from York University, she has toured the country at theatres and venues. She has appeared at several major festivals and in June 2010 was invited to sing and play at the prestigious International Harp Festival, Sentmenat, near Barcelona. Her most recent album , Encyclopedia Botanica, was premiered at The Edinburgh Festival this year. Ruby's previous album, Forbidden Fruit , also on the Jewelclick label, achieved notable popularity, especially in the Middle East and Far East and includes her award winning original song "Something Strong."

A gifted singer, Ruby also has a warm personality and professional manner. Special occasions such as weddings, can be stressful to organise but Ruby will assist with the planning of the music, helping to realise a bride's dream for the day. For the special song or vocal set, Ruby will generally accompany herself on one of her harps. She has created dozens of arrangements of popular wedding music for voice and harp, and can also often learn a new song to order. Alternatively, she can take a song commission and create a unique song for your special occasion.

Since Ruby is both a professional wedding singer and a professional wedding harpist with a wide repertoire of solo harp music, she can provide both these services on one day, providing the ultimate "wow" factor for your guests.
